1905 Contemporary Presents: Tyler Shields, Jeffrey Czum, and Nick Mele

Join us at the Arlo Wynwood in Miami on January 22 from 6 to 8 PM for a group exhibition featuring works by Tyler Shields, Jeffrey Czum, and Nick Mele. The evening will include a panel conversation with all three artists beginning promptly at 7 PM.

This exhibition brings together three distinct photographic practices, each rooted in storytelling and atmosphere. While their approaches differ, the works share a cinematic sensibility and a thoughtful balance between fantasy and reality, offering a compelling snapshot of contemporary photography today.

Tyler Shields is an American fine art photographer whose work moves between photography, cinema, and fashion. Shooting exclusively on film with vintage cameras, Shields creates highly constructed images defined by precise lighting, strong contrast, and emotional tension. His work has been exhibited internationally and has achieved notable results at Sotheby’s, earning a dedicated global collector base.

Jeffrey Czum is a photographer and digital artist known for transforming the everyday into the extraordinary. Through his signature clean collages, he reimagines familiar roadside and urban scenes by introducing altered text, neon signage, and subtle interventions. Influenced by cinematic aesthetics and pop culture, Czum’s work balances minimalism with surrealism and a quiet sense of humor.

Nick Mele is known for his vibrant portraits and lifestyle driven photographs that capture the spirit of Palm Beach and beyond. Blending fashion, architecture, and character driven storytelling, his images feel both playful and composed, revealing narrative depth beneath their polished surfaces.

The exhibition opens January 22 at Arlo Wynwood. We look forward to welcoming collectors, collaborators, and friends for an evening of conversation and photography.
